These two compositions for guitar solo,  “Pregunta” and “Mapeyé”,  are both conceived in the same harmonic language.  They are based on the continuous variations of a harmonic sequence known as “andalusian” or “Phrygian” cadence,  which is frequently used in South-Spanish folklore.  Building on this foundation,  the composer has added a “flamenco” touch to the music.
